The United States has become too big, too diverse and too corrupt to survive

We are nearing the end now. Can you feel it? I do. It’s in the news, on the streets and in your face every day. You can’t turn it off anymore, even if you wanted to.

Where once there was civil debate in the court of public opinion, now we have censorship, monopoly, shouting, insults, demonization and finally the use of force to silence the opposition . There is no turning back now. Political extremes go to war, and you will be drawn into it even if you consider yourself apolitical.

There are big pivot points in the story, and we’ve come to one. The United States, torn apart by a thousand grievance groups, torn apart by dark agencies drunk on blatant excess of power, blindly robbed by oligarchs and their treacherous henchmen and decimated by frivolous wars of choice , have finally come to a point where the end begins in earnest.

The center does not hold… indeed, finding a center is no longer even possible. We are the schizophrenic nation, bound by no societal norms, constrained by no religion, with no shared sense of history, myth, language, art, philosophy, music or culture, hurtling towards an uncertain future fueled by nothing more than easy money, hubris and pure momentum.

There comes a time when hard choices have to be made…when it’s no longer possible to stay away or have fun, because the barbarians have come to the door. Indeed, they are here now, and they often look very much like uprooted, conflicted, but belligerent fellow Americans, certain of one thing only, and that is that they have “rights”, even though they might at barely form an intelligible sentence explaining exactly what these rights guarantee or how they came about.

But it’s not necessary, from their point of view, you see. All they need is a “voice” and membership in an approved victim class to enrich themselves at someone else’s expense. If you think right now that doesn’t describe you, then guess what? The joke is on you, and you’ll be expected to foot the bill…that “someone else” is you.

In reality, however, who can blame the minions, when the elites also have their hands in the cash? In fact, they are even more hostile to reasoned discourse than Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street or Antifa. Witness the complete collapse of the privileged classes when President Trump lightly suggested that perhaps our ‘intelligence community’ should not be trusted, which is after all a pretty sober assessment considering CIA, FBI, NSA, BATF backgrounds. , and the other assorted Stasi agencies.

Burning cop cars or rushing at the odd Trump supporter seems a little tame compared to the wailing and gnashing of teeth when that old MIC “intelligence” vampire was dragged screaming into the light. Still, Trump hasn’t driven a stake through his heart, and at this point no one probably can…and that’s exactly the point. We are now Thelma and Louise basically.

We’re on cruise control, happily accelerating toward the cliff, and few seem to notice that our not-so-distant future involves bankruptcy, totalitarianism, and/or nuclear annihilation. Even though most of us couldn’t identify the band, we are surely living the words of the Grass Roots: “Live for today, and don’t concern about tomorrow”.

The “Defense” Department, “Homeland” Security, Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Schools, Civil Rights Groups, Blacks, Indians, Jews, Deep State, government workers, labor unions, neocons, populists, Christian fundamentalists, atheists, life and death pros, environmentalists, lawyers, gay people, women, millennials, baby boomers, blue-collar/white-collar workers, illegal aliens… the list goes on and on, but the fact is that the conflicting agendas of these disparate groups have been irreconcilable for some time.

The difference today is that we are de facto at war with each other, and whether it’s a war of words or actual fights doesn’t matter right now. What matters is that we no longer communicate, and when that happens, it’s easy to demonize the other side. Violence is never far behind ignorance.

I write this from the bar of the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna, Austria. I have seen with my own eyes the flooding of Europe by an influx of hostile foreigners bent on destroying ancient Christianity, but I have some hope for the countries of Eastern Europe because they have finally recognized the threat and are working to neutralize it.

Discontented foreigners can never be successfully integrated into a civilized society because they have no intention of even trying; they intend to conquer their host instead. Yet even though our own discontents are mostly domestic, we have a much harder line to hoe than old Europe because our own “invaders” are entrenched and have been for decades, right up to the highest levels of government. .

That there are signs that Austria is finally waking up is a good thing, but it illustrates the folly of expecting hostile cultures in our own country to get along without breaking up the republic. Indeed, this republic died long ago, and it has been replaced by a metastasized mass of amorphous humanity called the American Empire, and it is at war with itself and burning from within.

Long ago, we knew that as American citizens, each of us had a great responsibility. We were expected to work hard, be honest, do to others what we would have them do to us, and serve our country when asked. Today, we don’t talk about duty, except as a slogan to promote war, but we certainly talk about benefits to ourselves and our “group” of beneficiaries. We will fail because of our greed and avarice.

The United States of Empire has simply become too big, too diverse, and too “exceptional” to survive.
